What is a Personal Coach?

Coaching vs. Therapy

What's the difference?

Coaching is not psychotherapy. Although there are some similarities, these are separate and different activities. Both disciplines use knowledge of human behavior, motivation, behavioral change, and interactive techniques, but there are major differences in the goals and focus. As the client, you will set the agenda for the Coaching. My job as Coach will be to help build on the information and skills that you already have for the development of:

  • personal decisions regarding changes to be made
  • action plans towards those changes
  • implementation of those plans with behavioral changes
  • strategies for maintaining successes

I will support you, teach you, encourage you, and help you stay on the course towards your goals.

Psychotherapy, in contrast, is a health service. Its primary focus is to identify, diagnose, and treat nervous and mental disorders.

Choose coaching -
choose happiness.
